Belmont Medical Rapid Infuser R1-2

CGH ICU and ER departments continue to see patients with gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding or other rapid blood loss events resulting in the need to infuse patients quickly and safely with potential life saving blood transfusions.
A community hospital Chilliwack General is also in a unique position to be able to offer stabilizing treatment to patients experiencing severe blood loss prior to a required transfer to a higher level of care center for trauma management.
As a requirement for FHA wide protocols for the management of massive transfusion cases critical care trained nursing staff need to be able to confidently and safely care for their patients using the best rapid infusion equipment possible.
The Belmont rapid infuser with its safety features and ease of use will enable critical care staff to be able to develop competence in caring for patients experiencing life threatening blood loss.
